Dear Wilson...

Dear Wilson (Thank your Mommy for that name...Daddy wanted to name you Cooter! Yes, I said Cooter. I think he was just kidding but one can never be too sure.),

Today did not turn out how we planned, but it turned out just the way God intended it to. See, Mommy wanted to have you naturally but your cord was around your neck and hand causing Mommy to have you through emergency c-section.  Because you had a great team of nurses and doctors and a very brave Mommy and Daddy, you came into this world perfectly at 2:59pm...and on your Daddy's Birthday (what a special thing to share!!). We were so excited to see you! We all had bids that you would be between 7-9 lbs and you shocked us with your 5lb 11oz, 18 inch body! And of course you won the hearts of everyone around you immediately. There are people that say you look just like your Daddy and Brookie, but I think they are wrong...I see so much of your Mommy in your face. Only time will tell...but let it be known now that your Lulu is pretty awesome...and usually right about things like this everything.

Brookie was so excited to see you when she saw you. She had smiles all over! So as you get older, you just refer back to this letter and remind her that she did love you coming into this world! I know that you both are going to have some great memories together. I cannot wait to see how you guys interact with each other as you grow up...although I know we will probably have many talks about how to survive that little girl....just like I survived your Momma! I told you that the moment I held you in my arms...and you made noises back...so I think we have an early understanding of our relationship! Little Boy, You are so special and  I love you very, very much. I am so glad that I was able to be at the hospital when you were born. I certainly did not want to get into that car and leave when I had to but I know that I will get to see you in just a few short weeks and by then I can have you all to myself!

You are a laid back little dude and I love that about you! As sassy as that sister of yours is, it will be very good for Mommy to have you to even things out! I can't wait to spoil you rotten! I hope you know just how much of my heart was left in that hospital room with you when I had to leave! You will always have a piece of my heart...just like your sister...that no one will ever be able to replace because it can only be filled by you! I love you Wilson Lynn Cofer!

(though you will call me Lulu!)

Easter Break...

Easter is always my favorite time of year. It is a time when people all around the world celebrate the resurrection of Christ. It is a time where families set aside most differences and share their love for one another. It is a time where I get to reminisce and attend a particular event that has become a tradition for my friend, Hally, and me. SPRING SING! We both have a love for spring sing that no one else possibly understands...we both think a lot of it has to do with the amount of sentiment we put behind it...but that's besides the point...anyway...the awesome school district that I work for gives us an Easter Break. We get  the Good Friday and the Monday following off to spend with our families. So of course I went to Arkansas! Here is some memories from this trip:

I met Sadie (Hally's new dog...my new puppy niece!) Isn't she something! Darcy got a little jealous..but who can blame her? I mean...I was hers first!

Then we ventured on to Spring Sing! We always have a good time...ALWAYS! This year, Chi Sigs, Regina, and friends won! That brought back the time we won...ahem...10 years....oh who's counting how long ago it was?

It was a rainy Easter morning....
but we put smiles on anyway...because the sun came out and it was a beautiful day with family!!
From Left to Right: Jessica (my cousin), My Mom with my sweet girl, Brookie, My Sister, Me, and My grandmother Nanny.

I got a good one of Brookie, Daniel, and Andrea (and little Wilson!)

And isn't she lovely?? I taught her to say I am her favorite...but she teases me when I ask her who her favorite is...she tells me another name...then she cuts her eyes and laughs...She's a smart little toot!!

I had the best weekend! It is always hard to leave. I didn't get to see everybody that I wanted to, but that's the way these quick trips go!

I hope you had as lovely an Easter as I...

Love You Mean It,
